    Ron Anderson President

    Ron founded Tallinn Capital in 1999.

    He has over 30 years of experience in finance, banking and mergers and acquisitions in Western Canada, including the senior position in BC with a major Canadian bank.

    Ron has a B.Comm from the University of British Columbia, is a CGA, is a Board member of Mainstreet Equities Corp. (MEQ - TSX), a Governor and past-Treasurer of Crofton House School, a Board member of The Nature Trust of British Columbia, and has been a director of a number of public and private companies.

    Henry Dethmers Managing Director

    Henry joined Tallinn Capital in 2002.

    He has over 30 years of corporate and commercial lending experience across Western Canada, including senior roles in Commercial Banking, Energy Lending, Special Loans, and Credit with two major Canadian banks. 

    Henry volunteers on various church boards and youth camps in Western Canada and is a Board Member on the Baptist Union Development Foundation Fund.  He is a Director of 4Refuel Canada Ltd., S.i.Systems Ltd. and Agio Investments Ltd.

    Shawn Housden Director, Merchant Banking

    Shawn joined Tallinn Capital in 2012.

    He has over 10 years of operations experience in a Western Canada natural resource industry and 5 years of corporate development / mergers and acquisitions experience with The Jim Pattison Group's corporate office. 

    Shawn has a BSc in Forestry and an MBA (Finance) from the University of British Columbia.  He has previously been involved in the British Columbia Provincial Emergency Program (Search & Rescue and PEP Air), Big Brothers and Sisters of Canada, and has been the Director of Business Development for MBA’s Without Borders.

    Vern Malcolm Director, Merchant Banking

     

    Vern joined Tallinn Capital in 2012.

     

    Vern has over 12 years of principal investing experience with an emphasis on the energy and infrastructure sectors both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining Tallinn he worked in the infrastructure group of a major Canadian pension plan, in industry for a multinational pipeline company and in private equity and mezzanine finance.

     

    Vern has a B. Comm from McGill University, an MBA (Strategic Management) from the University of British Columbia and is a CFA charterholder. He has served on private company and non-profit boards and is past president of the Calgary CFA Society. Currently, he serves as an investment committee member of The Calgary Foundation.
